Is it harder to save money than it was in the past?

I think its definitely harder to save money now than it was in the past. First of all, these days banks have made it a habit not to lend money to people with zero or bad credit scores. In the past, there was no such thing. People could make and save their money. But now, if you don’t have good credit scores, banks won’t lend you money, and so people are forced to spend money that they don’t have, instead of saving it.
Secondly, there seem to be more distractions everywhere from pop up ads on the internet to television and radio commercials which persuade people to spend their money (猜词互动: 而不是) saving it. So, its more difficult to save money these days.
