I would volunteer to read to kids if I worked at the library for the following reasons. Firstly, reading to kids is a great way to give back to your community and would give your school or potential employers a good impression. I mean, we all know that reading is an important part of a child’s development and a great way to get them involved in books at an early age. 

In addition to that, I think it would be interesting to read to kids, it would give you a chance to interact with them and wouldn’t （猜词互动）感到枯燥乏味 , so you wouldn’t be too exhausted afterwards. So, if I were to choose, I’d go with the option of reading to kids.

• volunteer： If you volunteer to do something, you offer to do it without         being forced to do it. 

• give back to: 回报 

• potential：

adj.  expected to become or be.

eg. potential customers 

n. the inherent capacity for becoming successful. 

eg.achieve their full potential 充分发挥其潜力

• get sb involved: let sb take part in it or have a strong connection with it. 

• go with=support/approve
