An occasion in my country where people give gifts to each other is Christmas. Parents buy their children gifts and friends and relatives buy each other stuff, wrap them up and put them under the Christmas tree. On Christmas morning, everyone sits in the living room and opens their presents and its always fun and exciting. The main reason as to why Christmas is a gift-giving occasion is because it’s known as the time for giving and sharing and just being helpful to one another. It’s one of those holidays where you hope that everyone in the world has something to eat and a warm place to sleep. So, some people even offer their help at ahomeless shelter. So Christmas is one of the occasions in my country where people give gifts.
